The University of Minnesota will host the conference Gender Equity in the Mathematical Study (GEMS) of Commutative Algebra the weekend of November 10-12, 2023. This conference is primarily aimed at women and non-binary graduate students who are studying or considering studying commutative algebra or a related field. Those in their first through third years of a PhD program are especially encouraged to apply. The conference will begin with a social event on Friday evening and conclude Sunday midday. There will be three 50-minute plenary talks with accompanying exercise sessions, three 20-minute talks by senior graduate students, lightning talks by all willing participants, and numerous opportunities for professional development and community building.
