Commutative Algebra meeting Algebraic Geometry: Dorin Popescu's 70th birthday

The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Bucharest, the Institute of Mathematics “Simion Stoilow” of the Romanian Academy and the Romanian Mathematical Society will organize the conference “Commutative Algebra meeting Algebraic Geometry” in honor of Dorin Popescu’s 70th birthday. The talks will take place at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Bucharest, and will start in the morning of June 24th and end in the late afternoon of June 27th 2017.

Catalan/Spanish/Swedish joint meeting, Umeå

There will be a joint meeting of the Catalan, Spanish, and Swedish Mathematical Societies June 12-15, 2017 in the city of Umeå (Sweden). The venue of the conference will be the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics of Umeå University.

Nordfjordeid 2017: Homological aspects

The Nordfjordeid Summer School, on “Homological aspects of commutative algebra”, will be held 12-16 June, 2017, at the Sophus Lie Conference Center, in Nordfjordeid, Norway.
The theme of the summer school is homological commutative algebra. The three lecture series will focus on recent progress on the so-called homological conjectures, and topics include free resolutions, combinatorial commutative algebra, Stillman’s question and the Eisenbud-Goto conjecture. The summer school will be aimed at phd students and advanced master students.
