SM'ART (Seminar on Matroids in Algebra, Representation theory and Topology), Switzerland

The 2016 edition of the Swiss doctoral program’s Borel seminar will focus on recent major progresses arising from the interaction of matroid theory with topology, (tropical) geometry and representation theory. It will take place

January 24-29, 2016, in Les Diablerets, Switzerland.

Third EACA International School on Computer Algebra and its Applications, Seville

The Third EACA International School on Computer Algebra and its Applications will take place at the Faculty of Mathematics and IMUS (University Institute of Mathematics Research) of the University of Seville (Spain) on January 18th-21th, 2016.

It is an activity of the Spanish network Red-EACA, Red Temática de Cálculo Simbólico, Álgebra Computacional y Aplicaciones, partially supported by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, under the Acciones de Dinamización “Redes de Excelencia” MTM2014-56142-REDT.

The First and Second EACA School on Computer Algebra and its Applications were held in Tenerife (Canary Islands) in 2011 and in Valladolid in 2013.

This School intends to provide an opportunity for young researchers (namely, Master and PhD students and Postdocs) in Computer Algebra and Symbolic Computation or in its Applications from all over the world, to learn from three internationally recognized lecturers, about recent developments on the area. The School also welcomes experienced researchers interested in these topics.

The School will consist on three courses (lectures and tutorials) by experts plus short contributed talks and poster presentations by young researchers. Submissions will be supervised by the School’s Scientific Committee.
