EMS Summer School on Multigraded Algebra and Applications,
August 17-24, 2016, in Moieciu de Sus, Romania.
There will be the following two main courses:

  • Monomial and binomial ideals, by Juergen Herzog and Apostolos Thoma.
  • Applicable combinatorial commutative algebra, by Ezra Miller and Thomas Kahle.

Funds for covering the local expenses to a limited number of selected participants will be available. Preference will be given to graduate students and early career mathematicians.

ICRA 2016, Syracuse

The 17th bi-annual Workshop and International Conference on Representations of Algebras (ICRA 2016) will be hosted by Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, USA.
Workshop: August 10–13, 2016 (Wednesday–Saturday).  The workshop will feature lecture series by leading researchers:

4th Seminar on Algebra and its Applications, Ardabil, Iran

The “4th Seminar on Algebra and its Applications” organized by the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili, will be held on August 9-11, 2016 in Ardabil, Iran. The seminar continues the tradition of “workshop on Algebra and its Applications”, “Second Seminar on Algebra and its Applications” and “Third Seminar on Algebra and its Applications” which held at the university of Mohaghegh Ardabili in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
The seminar will take place at the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili which is located in the main campus of the University.

Homological Methods , AIMS Ghana

There will be a “School and Workshop on Homological Methods in Algebra and Geometry”, from 1st August to 12th August 2016, at AIMS Ghana. The school and workshop are organized by the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), in collaboration with AIMS Ghana.
The first week will consist of three minicourses:

  • Khovanov homology and categorification – Brent Everitt (University of York)
  • Noncommutative algebraic geometry – Paul Smith (University of Washington)
  • Geometric representation theory (TBC) – Geordie Williamson (MPI Bonn)

The second week will comprise of research talks on these topics.
