DESCRIPTION:The Arizona-New Mexico Symposium on Commutative Algebra and Its Interactions: Geometric Combinatorics will take place on December 8–12\, 2025 at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces\, NM. The main goal of the event is to collectively produce new research in the intersection of commutative algebra and geometric combinatorics\, with a special focus on matroids.  The research groups will be led by Christopher Manon (Kentucky)\, Jason McCullough (Iowa State)\, and Botong Wang (Wisconsin).\n\n\nThe deadline for applications is August 29. SUMMARY:Spectrums in Representation Theory of Algebras and Related Topics
DESCRIPTION:The hybrid workshop “Spectrums in Representation Theory of Algebras and Related Topics” will be held at the Osaka Central Advanced Mathematical Institute (OCAMI)\, December 16-19\, 2025. For more information\, see the workshop website. \nThe workshop will focus on the development and applications of the topological tools known as spectrum to the representation theory of algebras\, broadly interpreted. It is intended to be both a friendly place where newcomers can learn about a selection of these topics\, as well as a platform to discuss recent advances. \nThe workshop will feature two minicourses by \n– Rosanna Laking (University of Verona)\n– Ryo Takahashi (Nagoya University). \nConfirmed speakers for the workshop are: \n– Lidia Angeleri Hügel (University of Verona)\n– Paul Balmer (University of California\, Los Angeles)\n– Osamu Iyama (The University of Tokyo)\n– Tsutomu Nakamura (Kyoto University of Education)\n– Manuel Reyes (University of California\, Irvine)\n– Shunya Saito (The University of Tokyo). \nThe workshop will also feature several contributed talks. The organizers particularly encourage and welcome applications from junior researchers\, postdoctoral scholars\, and graduate students. Women and those from minority groups in mathematics especially encouraged to apply.
