SUMMARY:Combinatorial Algebra meets Algebraic Combinatorics (CAAC) 2022
DESCRIPTION:Combinatorial Algebra meets Algebraic Combinatorics (CAAC) 2022\nThe Fields Institute\, Toronto\, ON\, Canada\nJanuary 21-23\, 2022 \nWebpage: https://garsia.math.yorku.ca/CAAC_2022/ \nThis workshop is the 19th in a series of weekend workshops that bring together the mathematical community sharing interests in algebraic combinatorics\, commutative algebra and combinatorial algebraic geometry.\nAdditional information can be found at the conference webpage. \nOrganizers: \nNathan Grieve (Carleton University\, nathan.m.grieve@gmail.com)\nJenna Rajchgot (McMaster University\, rajchgot@math.mcmaster.ca⟩\nNancy Wallace (UQAM\, wallace.nancy@courrier.uqam.ca)\nMike Zabrocki  (York Universiy\, zabrocki@mathstat.yorku.ca⟩ \nInvited Speakers: \nLaura Escobar (Washington University in St. Louis)\nEloísa Grifo (University of Nebraska – Lincoln)\nColin Ingalls (Carleton University)\nAllen Knutson (Cornell University)\nOliver Pechenik (University of Waterloo) \nContributed Talks: \nThere will be a limited number of slots in the conference for contributed talks. Graduate students\, postdoctoral fellows and early career researchers are especially encouraged to apply. Requests to be included in the conference should be made before November 15 here.\n\nTravel funds: \nWe have some funds available to assist with travel and housing at the conference.  Information about how to submit applications for travel funds will be announced in the future announcements (with application deadline in November). \nPandemic Contingencies: \nThe CAAC conference series develops relationships among graduate students\, junior and senior researchers.  We are planning for an in person event with social interaction including a conference dinner.\nIn case that public health guidelines\, or other circumstances\, prevents an in person meeting from taking place\, then the conference will be held virtually or in a virtual/in-person hybrid format. \nRegistration: \nAt a time more near to the workshop\, registration will be available through the Fields Institute’s online platform. Support for this conference is provided by the Fields Institute.  Through the partnership between the Fields Institute and the National Science Foundation\, we are able to offer funding support to eligible US based participants.
