Tulane 2008: November 12, 2008

The Clifford Lectures is an annual event supported by the mathematics department at Tulane University since 1984. The Lectures consists of a series of talks given by a distinguished mathematician and a mini-conference held in conjunction, whose speakers are suggested by the main lecturer. This year, the conference will be held November 12-15, 2008, and the lecturer will be Professor Bernd Sturmfels of the University of California at Berkeley. The topic of the lecture series will be Tropical Algebra.
