The Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Bucharest University, the Institute of Mathematics "Simion Stoilow" of the Romanian Academy, the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, "Ovidius" University of Constanta, and the Romanian Mathematical Society are organizing the 15th edition of the School on Algebra, September 25--30, 2006, in Constanta. The topic of the School is "Toric Algebra". The lectures are based on the book Combinatorial Commutative Algebra, by E. Miller and B. Sturmfels, and will be completed by problem sessions, computer demos, and discussions.
